Hinkley PSG joins the Sizewell C Consortium
Graham Potts, Chairman of the Hinkley PSG comments why the group has joined the Sizewell C Consortium initiative.
“The Government has stated that delivering new and advanced nuclear power is a core part of the 10 point plan for a Green Industrial Revolution. Sizewell C is the next proposed new power station to be built and the Hinkley PSG is fully supportive and proud of the work being undertaken by the Sizewell C consortium.
Sizewell C not just about helping to take control of the UK’s low carbon energy transition but also the future of British jobs, industry, and opportunities including ‘levelling up’ the regions across the country. Most importantly it is a pre-packed infrastructure project, ready to kick start the green economic recovery. We need to ensure that Sizewell C and other planned new nuclear power plants proceed.
The Hinkley PSG was formed in 2017 and is a collection of businesses that have either direct experience of advising businesses or consortia already involved in the Hinkley Point C (HPC) project or relevant transferable experience. Members who have been carefully chosen and include law firms, accountancy practices, finance companies, finance brokers, human resource, and project management specialists, along with selected collaborators.
The overriding principle is that members of Hinkley PSG are collaborative, bring valued experience becoming trusted advisors to their clients. All Hinkley PSG group members are committed to share best practice, through case studies, videos, workshops, and information sheets. All can provide advice as businesses go through various stages of contracts including tender preparation, NEC3 and other contract negotiation, mobilisation, and contract delivery and importantly is endorsed by the Hinkley Supply Chain and supported by HPC. All members are happy to extend its offering to help support those businesses wishing to take advantage of opportunities at Sizewell C and can be contacted for an initial free consultation.”
Sizewell C Consortium is a group of more than 100 leading companies and organisations from every corner of the country.
